One June 1st, 2009, after 5 years of having very heavy involvement with the APRS-IS network, I decided to shut down the APRS-IS server to the general amateur population due to abuses of the service by some amateurs.

I have, however, kept a private copy of the APRSFL.net APRS-IS server running for a very narrow userbase.
