This map, generated by Radio Mobile, predicts the Longley-Rice 4/3 earth RF coverage of our 144.390 APRS Digipeater and I-Gate at 200ft above ground level in Port Richey. Terrain is accounted for, such as the ridge in East Pasco North thru Brooksville.

Scale is in dBm, in which -100 is the worst, and -40 is the best signal on this map's scale.

Map assumes operator is mobile at high power (5ft high AGL antenna). APRS, since it is a packet radio mode, requires full quieting to fully decode the packets, so no less than -78.5dBm is required for error free operation. Add 20-25% for a 30-50ft high outside antenna, and remove 30-35% for HT 5 watt use inside a well built structure. The voice repeater, on the other hand, is usable to -89.5dBm.
