We're located in New Port Richey about 25 miles NW of Tampa on Florida's Suncoast.
Welcome to the APRSfl.net website, your hosts are Dave Anderson KG4YZY
and Sean Fleeman N4SCF.
This site is dedicated to Amateur Radio's Digital APRS mode and current weather in Florida!
This is the latest live image from our New Port Richey Webcam 70ft
above the ground.
Click the picture to watch the live stream or the 28 hour timelapse movie with
yesterdays sun and moon rise.
We operate this website in the public service tradition of amateur radio.
You'll find considerable live APRS station data from both our on-air station in
Port Richey and via the APRS-IS on this website.
We publish real time level II high
resolution doppler radar, satellite imagery, our personal weather stations
& lightning detector, warnings notifications, tide predictions and the
New Port Richey Sky Webcam on our site.

We are always refining and adding new content to the site, here are the latest updates:
04/29/13: We have added some new radar sites to the list. KCLX Charleston SC, KFFC
Atlanta GA, KGSP Greer SC, and KMXX Birmingham, AL. This pretty well blankets most
of the southeast now. If you would like to see more radar sites added, just drop us
a line on the contact us link on the bottom left toolbar.
06/02/11: APRS Florida is running on a new server and new Linux build. The previous
Dell served us well for over 6 years. The new server runs a Sandy Bridge Quad Core
Xeon, which is blazing fast, but also clocks in at only 1/3 of the power consumption
of the old server. We hope this upgrade will continue bringing you the severe
weather info you need with even more responsiveness.
12/05/10: APRS Florida is now on Twitter as @APRSFL with weather alert updates. Format
similar to Facebook, just another outlet for you to get weather status and alert
updates from.
11/14/10: The APRSFL.net site is reachable via IPv6.
Both A and AAAA records exist so if you have IPv6 you'll automatically get to the
site via IPv6. You can verify how you're connected by the IP you are reaching the
server with, it's displayed at the bottom of the page.
11/07/10: APRS Florida is now on Facebook posting real time weather
watches/warnings.
09/23/10: The radar page now has all of the Florida Terminal Doppler Weather Radar (TDWR) airport weather radars.
TTPA MacDill AFB Tampa,
TMCO Orlando Intl,
TPBI West Palm Beach,
TFLL Fort Lauderdale and
TMIA Miami Intl.
These radars are short range, high resolution units covering 48 nautical miles around selected airports around the US.
02/13/10: Radar loop animations are now viewable using the legacy Java applet
or viewed using the new Flash player. A HTML5 animation is in the works as well.
06/04/09: NOAA Weather Radio Streaming is now online. You can listen real time to the KHB32 162.550mhz transmitter
online now. Also available for your phone at http://wap.aprsfl.net.
