APRS FLorida
We're located in New Port Richey about 25 miles NW of Tampa on Florida's Suncoast.
This site is dedicated to Amateur Radio's Digital APRS mode and current weather in Florida!

One of our beautiful sunsets viewed 300ft high on a tower climb in 2003

Your site hosts are  Dave Anderson  KG4YZY  and  Sean Fleeman  N4SCF.
We operate this site in the public service tradition and spirit of amateur radio.

  • D-Star is on the air in Pasco County! The newly formed Pasco Repeater Group KJ4BYI has a UHF Digital Voice repeater up and running. The system is on the air at 442.7625 (+ offset) at 190ft AGL in Port Richey. The system has a smaller foot print than what it will have in the future, as the brand new duplexer ordered has not arrived yet. You do need a D-Star radio in Digitial Voice mode to utlitize this repeater.

  • The APRSfl.net UI-View APRS lookup interface now has a IE7 and Firefox search plug-in available. Click to add APRSfl to your search box. You can also go up to your search or live search box, and click the pulldown menu. You'll have the option to add APRSfl as a search provider. Once you do, now you have a quick way to pull up a APRS station online and see its' stats.

  • If you would like to have a local source for Level II and Level III NIDS radar data for use on Gibson Ridge's GRLevel 2, 3, or Analyst Doppler Radar Software, look no further! Drop us a e-mail for information and setup instructions for no cost (non resellable) feed of Southeast WSR-88d radar sites.

  • We have added APRS Network Analysis to the navigation menu listed as West Central Florida APRS Network Analysis of 144.390mhz. You can now easily view the unproto path that stations within 250kM of Port Richey are using. We're hoping this page makes it easier for those running the older unproto paths to update their settings.

  • UI-Path32 has been added to the navigation menu as Current APRS DX path conditions via direct heard stations. This utility watches the VHF antenna at the Port Richey IGate/Digi location (200ft AGL) and posts stations that were heard directly. Stations heard via IGates and Digipeaters will not be listed, so it's a ideal way to see if the conditions are prime for DX in the VHF band.
